  Henry started his own band in 1948 playing locally, back then his polka band was very popular, this was in the 50's and 60's, playing all over Connecticut and as far south as Baltimore.  His band played at least two New Year's Eve at the Polish National Home in Hartford, CT and over the years played many gigs at the PNH.  He retired in 1971 when his parents both died so he could work the family farm and take care of his wife Ruth and eight kids.  In 2006 Henry recorded a song "Henry's Medley Polka" with Polka Hall of Famer Eddie Forman and the EFO of Hadley, MA and this song he frequently would perform with Eddie.
